Playlist of The Year

23:53:00

2015 has been quite a big year for me. I finished my first year of college, found new, incredible friends, fell out with less than incredible people and fell in love all over again. I'm healthier, happier and more confident than ever. The same can be said for my family. All of the things that have happened to me this year have had a soundtrack. So I compiled a playlist of all the music I discovered and adored in 2015. I hope you enjoy and have a happy and healthy 2016! Thanks for reading!

Savanah // Reliant K

Drunk In Love (Cover) // The Weeknd

The Weeknd has an ability to make music that makes your hips move and your clothes come off. Partner a Beyoncé classic with The Weeknd's typical lyricism and you've got one of the best songs The Weeknd has ever made.

Be There // Saint Raymond

Ease // Troye Sivan ft Broods

Troye really came into his element this year. His debut album Blue Neighbourhood is fast becoming an all time favourite of mine. His voice and unique style has created some of the most innovative music of 2015. His soft, laid back voice perfectly suits this song. Ease is by far my favourite chilled song of the year.

Came To Do // Chris Brown

Everlong // Foo Fighters

I KNOW I'M PAINFULLY LATE TO THE PARTY BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER MADE.

Cinderblock Garden // All Time Low

Get On Your Knees // Nicki Minaj ft Ariana Grande

I'm not lying when I say 90% of the time I appear confident I'm either listening to or have listened to this song in the last 20 minutes. It has the power to take me from a 2 to a strong 8 in 3 minutes.

Clarity // Foxes

Going Away To College // Blink 182

2015 was the year that Ang really grew up. And sometimes I feel like I'm so far from my 16 year old self and this song has a great way of reminding me what it's like to me 17 and completely unaware of the real world.

Coffee // Miguel

Honest // The Neighbourhood

Slow, sultry and dark. Every THE NBHD song can be described in those three words but this is the one that stands out. It has lyrics that I'd have tattooed on to myself so it has to be included in this playlist.

I'm Lost Without You // Blink 182

My love for I Miss You can't be beaten and when I stalked YouTube for a similar song I discovered this beauty. I've cried to this song countless times. So fucking beautiful.

Intoxicated // Martin Solveig & GTA

2015 was definitely the year of EDM and I too fell for the genre. This song genuinely picks me up whenever I need it. I uncontrollably dance when this comes on. There have been nights out in 2015 where I remember nothing except this song.

Letting Go // Saint Raymond

Little Monster // Royal Blood

THIS BAND IS SUCH A LIFE CHANGER. Real rock that hits you right in the gut. This song makes me want to dress head to toe in black and crush boys. SERIOUSLY.

Dancing in The Moonlight (Cover) // Alt J

Love Me // The 1975

By far my highlight of this year was the return on The 1975. It's so kitsch and sing able. The perfect come back for one of the best bands of the 2000's.

Downtown // Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Love Yourself // Justin Bieber

I really really DON'T care. Love Yourself was written by Ed Sheeran which is evident by the INCREDIBLE lyricism and catchiness of this. Obsessed.

No Control // One Direction

Magnets // Disclosure ft Lorde

Disclosure have slayed 2015 with their album Caracal. This is just one of the songs that took over my iPod for weeks on end. Disclosures ability to make music that's chill and upbeat still baffles me. Snaps and claps to Disclosure.

Novels // Rusty Clanton

Maybe, Maybe // Cam Nacson

I've wrote about this song before and I'm still head over heels for this. Please PLEASE listen to this gorgeous love song that gives me goosebumps.

Omen // Disclosure ft Sam Smith

Never Forget You // Zara Larsson & MNEK

I LIVE FOR THE DROP IN THIS SONG. It's sing along able and dance at the same time so what more could you want?

New Romantics // Taylor Swift

Peanut Butter Jelly // Galantis

THIS IS HONESTLY MY HAPPY SONG. Everything from the drop to the air horn just brightens my day.

Perfect // One Direction

Ribs // Lorde

Like I said songs that bring me back to being 16 have been very sought after for me this year. This is another one that takes me right back to school uniforms, hickeys and having just a bar of chocolate for lunch.

Runaways // All Time Low

Say You Love Me // Jessie Ware

A slow, beautiful love song with the kind of lyricism that brings me to my knees. Honestly one of the best and most honest songs about love ever made.

She // Dodie Clarke

Shiver // Amber Run

This song saved my relationship. That's really all there is to it. I owe so so much to Amber Run for creating and performing this song live. If you wanna read the full story behind my love for this song you can here.

Sick Of Losing Soul Mates // Dodie Clarke

Sick of Losing Soul Mates really really touches my very soul. I've cried and sang along to this so many times since Dodie posted this to her channel a few months ago. It's honest and real and the gentleness of her voice brings a quality I just can't describe to the song. Incredible.

Stay Together For The Kids // Blink 182

Sorry // Justin Bieber

Once again I don't give a fuck. Already I can tell this is going to be one of those songs that will randomly come on the radio in a few years and everyone under the ages of 23 is gonna get TURNT.

Talk! // The 1975

Yes, this song was first released in 2013 but it wasn't until this year that I really looked into the lyrics. WOW. Please please check out the lyrics here.

You & Me // Bassnectar ft W. Darling

Youth // The 1975

Despite only being released a month ago this song could have soundtracked by teenage years. Love, release, escapism and youth. Everything that's great about being young all in one song.

3005 // Childish Gambino

5am // Amber Run

A stunningly emotional song that truly captured my heart in 2015.

Heartbeat // Childish Gambino

Look What You Done // Drake

This song is about thanking his mother for everything she's done to help Drake in his life. I honestly broke down the first time I heard this. It's beautifully written and the sample of Drakes mother speaking to us is truly touching.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know of any songs you've loved in 2015. I hope you have a healthy and incredible 2016.
